Sunday evening & it's time to get your thinking caps on, ready to face our weekly quiz, designed by in-house 'Trivia-Meister' Jason!
Quiz starts at 7:30pm, £2pp to enter, max team 6 people: winning team takes the 2/3 of pot... and, in a shock new move for Autumn 2025, 1/3 goes to the team second from last!!

Appledore Band Summer Season Concerts
Every Monday
7:30pm - 7:30pm
There are records of a town band dating back as far as 1880, the current band is the remains of a Boys Brigade Silver band which was formed in 1942. The Boys Brigade sadly closed down but the band carried onunder the stewardship of Mr Arthur Boyles. He was awarded an MBE in 1999 and his portrait hangs proudly in the bandroom. Today if you mix approximately 35 people with an age range of sixty years, professional backgrounds as diverse as teacher, emergency services, merchant banker, electrician and professional tennis coach and a lot of dedication and talent with a sprinkling of silliness? Appledore Band Proms 2026

One of the key Appledore events on the Quay! Absolutely brilliant evening of great music, pomp and circumstance & a little bit of silliness thrown in... Expect flag waving! Loud singing and lots of fun! This superb event is fully supported by the village, and is extremely popular and well-attended... Bring a deck chair or get in early to grab a table at the front of the Seagate!

Appledore & Instow Regatta 2026
Sunday 9th August
1:30pm - 5:00pm
The Appledore & Instow Regatta is a long running traditional celebration of maritime endurance and skill on water, with fun and family at the heart of the events.
Events are organised for everyone to enjoy over a number of days during July and August with many stalls, exhibits and activities on Regatta Day itself.
The Regatta events include: Gaffers & Luggers Sailing Races, Model Yachts Racing, World Championship Crabbing Contest, Gig Sprints, with competitive W.E.A.R.A. Rowing with around 10 Rowing Clubs in over 30 races and also Dragon Boat Racing, Raft races, Greasy Pole Walking, Boat 'Tug of War', and stall holders.
Appledore Carnival

The Appledore Carnival in North Devon is set to take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, aligning with the traditional Appledore Village festivities. Hosted by the Appledore Pirates, the lively, family-friendly event features a vibrant street procession, marching bands, and creative floats. Come along and support the Seagate as the team and our regulars will be appearing for the first time in the parade!!!
