Quiz starts at 7:30pm, £2pp to enter, max team 6 people: winning team takes the 2/3 of pot... and, in a shock new move for Autumn 2025, 1/3 goes to the team second from last!!

Spritz Season

Our brand new spritz menu has landed – and it’s bursting with sunshine in every sip. From zingy Sparkling Margaritas to citrus-kissed Allora Limone, the ever-refreshing Pimm’s Fizz, and the elegant Lillet Rosé Spritz, there’s something for every summer mood. Light, vibrant, and full of flavour, these are the drinks made for long lunches, golden hour catch-ups, and laid-back evenings in Appledore.
Appledore To Instow Ferry

Run entirely by volunteers, the Appledore to Instow Ferry provides a brilliant way to cross the estuary during the summer season – running daily (weather and tides permitting). Two ferries operate the route, each licensed to carry twelve passengers, making it a charming and scenic ride to start your adventure.
It’s also the perfect way to visit our sister pub, The Boathouse Instow – just hop off the boat and say hello to the crew when you arrive!
Planning ahead? Be sure to check the ferry website for sailing times, as services are tide and weather dependent.
Appledore Book Festival

Appledore Book Festival- Family Fun Day

The Seagate and a host of local businesses are supporting a Family Trail Blaze through Appledore Village, all part of the Appledore Book Festival.
Registration at the ABF Gazebo in Churchfields Car Park, with a free book and ice cream for each child who completes the trail!

Seafood Barbecue Fundraiser

With fresh maritime flavours being cooked al-fresco, our seafood barbecue is always a treat. And with half of all proceeds this Saturday being donated to 'Maddy's Mark', there's even more reason to stop by and grab yourself a bite. Choose from Cornish sardines, king prawn skewers, marinated squid and more. Simply delicious seafood cooking from 1-3pm (autumnal weather permitting, of course) **Maddy's Mark is our charity partner throughout September, established in memory of Maddy Lawrence to support the mental well-being of girls and young women by building resilience, confidence, and camaraderie.
